The Lotus Temple is a Buddhist community uniting ordained ministers and lay people in the path of Chan and Mahayana Amidism.
Who are we?
Greetings to all of you.
The Lotus Temple is a Sangha, a dedicated community of fully ordained ministers and lay Buddhists, deeply rooted in the traditions of Chan and Amidism, both expressions of Mahayana. Our goal is to spread the Buddha's teachings, known as Dharma, through the publication of "Dharma notebooks" designed to inspire and guide daily practice.
In addition, we offer a variety of services related to Buddhist practice, along with ritualistic objects that you can explore in our Shop section. If you would like to get in touch with us, we invite you to visit the contact page, where you will find our contact details. We will be happy to answer your questions and provide clarifications, including the correct way to take refuge in the Three Precious Jewels. This process will take place through a telephone interview with one of our Ministers, thus allowing you to become a full member of our Sangha, even from a distance.
